"Avengers!" Fury exclaimed as he walked into the tower with his special protege in tow. The young agent followed swiftly as her boss explained the situation over and over again.

"…So, do you understand? We can't risk anything go south on this one. I have full trust in you, but your mother would come and kill me from the afterlife if anything goes wrong."
"I understood you just fine the first time, now after the other 5 I'm sure I did."
"How did I end up with you again?"
"Because I had talent and you liked it, uncle Nick."
"No uncle Nick in front of them, young lady."
"Yessir." Fury rolled his eyes as he waited for the occupants of the tower to arrive. Eisa Quince, his adoptive kid, who had just turned 16 was following him towards the main area. Eisa was the daughter of his best agent who was killed during a mission. Freya Quince was her name. With no relatives, Freya gave Fury custody of her only daughter before she died. Eisa was a handful. The young redhead was curious about everything, disciplined, kind and a little ray of sunshine, although mostly shy and introverted. Just like her mother, she too had special powers.

The reason for their visit today was no one else but the trickster god Loki. Odin had sent him to Earth to repay for the damage he'd done by helping the Avengers. Although he had been here for a month already, he hadn't spoken a single word to any team member, something Fury thought Eisas innocence could change. The girl knew nothing about the New York attack, nor Loki as Fury kept it from her to keep her safe.

Once the occupants arrived, Fury began the introduction.
"Alright everyone, as no one made any progress with Loki, I brought a special person to help out. Team, this is Eisa Quince. Eisa, this bunch here are the Avengers."

"Nice to meet you, everyone."she said waving at them.
"Hey kid. Fury, how old is this one?"asked Tony Stark.
"16 and you all are going to make sure nothing happens to her. If it does, I'll personally kill you. Now, she is here to talk to Loki, show her around, lead her to him and leave the rest up to her. She is young but she can take care of herself, trust me. Here's her stuff, I have to go. Take care, kid" With that he gave the kid high five and he was gone.

The Avengers stood there observing the girl, who did the same.
"Who are you, kid?"asked Tony curiously. Why had Fury brought a child to help out? Or where did he get a kid from in the first place?
"I'm Eisa. I'm 16 and Nick Fury is my legal guardian if that's what you want to know."
"Yes, pretty much. Where are your parents?"
"I never knew my dad and my mom was killed during a mission, so that's why Fury's stuck with me."
"I'm sorry, kiddo. Let me show you to your room. Fury was specific you get the same floor as Loki. If it were up to me, I'd rather put you with Natasha. You got training?"
"Only basic, but I inherited special powers from my mother, so I can take care of myself."
"Special huh? You got to show me someday, kid. Here we are, I'll let you unpack. Loki is down the hall, I'll go tell him he has a new roommate. Get some rest and if you need anything let Jarvis know, hes the one that runs the place beside Pepper and he's at your disposal."
"Thank you, ."
"You're welcome kid and Tony is just fine. You make me feel old otherwise."
"Alright, Tony."

When he left, Eisa observed what would be her new home for the next few weeks. She was starting to like it here.

After letting Loki know about his new roommate, Tony returned to the Avengers.
"Did you find out anything else about the girl?" asked Cap the second Tony entered the room.
"Gee Capsicle, chill out. Kid's fine. She doesn't have parents, mom got killed on a shield mission, it's how Fury probably got custody. Oh, and she mentioned to have basic training and some special powers. I hope she won't mind a few tests…"
"Wait a second, special powers? What kind?"
"I don't know, didn't ask. But she said she'll show me. She's a sweet kid. I wonder what Fury thinks she'll achieve with the trickster."

Loki was wandering his floor just to see if he could bump into his new roommate. Stark had said it was a young lady which made him even more curious. Who in their right mind decided it would be a good idea to put her on one floor with him?
His patience finally paid out when he saw a small young redhead with mischievous bluish green eyes enter the living room. She stopped and looked at him:
"Hi, I'm Eisa. You must be Loki, it's nice to meet you." She extended a hand which he gratefully shook. This was the first time someone gave him a warm welcome. The only reason he didn't talk to the Avengers and his idiot brother was that they ignored him perfectly well the first time he tried and no one wanted anything to do with him anyways, so he retreated into himself. This one seemed different from them. In this moment Loki decided this kid had probably no idea who he was and there was only one way to find out the truth.
"Nice to meet you too, Eisa. But do you have any idea who I am?"
"No, not really. I only know your name and that you don't talk, which is not true obviously." The young one was being honest; Loki could tell and decided she would be worth a try. Somehow, she seemed familiar to him.
"Well, in that case, let me show you around this floor."

Hello darlings! Welcome to my new story about Eisa. It's more or less a story about friendship and my take on what happened to Loki before the events of the Avengers. Let me know what you think.

Bye!
