Rating: PG for Jack's… ideas

Summary: The English language has changed a lot through the centuries. A modern girl and a 17th century pirate might not understand one another.

Captain Jack Sparrow eyed the girl who had just appeared on his ship. Appeared in the literal sense, as one moment she'd been there, the next, she hadn't.

The girl was not dressed. She wore strange, very brief bloomers that stopped well above her knees, leaving her legs bare down to the strange sandals she wore. Her camisole was equally odd, and barely covered her middle section. Both items were brightly colored.

"Mr. Gibbs, I'd trouble you t' keep the crew busy," Jack said.

Gibbs looked disappointed, but he did as he was told. The girl jumped and turned around to face him.

Rather then be scared by his appearance, her jaw dropped. "Jack Sparrow?" she asked, incredulous.

Jack frowned. "Captain Jack Sparrow, if you please."

The girl let out a high pitched squeal and jumped at him.

He backpedaled quickly, startled. He drew his sword before he could even think about it.

She barely managed to avoid falling on her face. She recovered and stared at him for a moment.

"You're gay, aren't you?

Jack considered the strange girl's question. "Why yes, I do believe I am."

The girl's jaw dropped.

Jack smiled at her. "After all, I have my Pearl, a loyal crew, and a lovely, nearly completely unclad lass throwing herself at me, though I'd rather she waited until we reached my cabin. Why should I not be happy?"

Yes, I am making fun of a few people, but I hope that you all can recognize that this is affectionate teasing.

I was inspired by a Christmas Carol, namely, Deck the Halls. And the fact that there is one line in it that has... other meanings now.
