Chapter 1- The announcement
Barry pushed the big doors open to his high school and looked around. He saw Iris helping out a lost student. Iris's eyes fell to Barry. She smiled a big smile. Barry loved that smile. He loved her so much, he wanted to tell her how he felt. Her turned around and headed to his locker. Unloading all the books out of his backpack he felt like he was soon being watched. He turned around to see Iris standing there.
"Barry,'' she shouted. She gave him a big hug. Once Barry had finished they walked down the hallways linking arms. Soon Tony Woodward came towards him and shoved barry to the ground.
"Got yourself a girl, Allen?" Tony snarked.
Iris stood in front of him so he couldn't go near Barry, "Go away Tony the bells going to go any time now don't pick a fight," Iris said standing up tall defending Barry. Tony walked away with his friends swag walking. Iris helped Barry up and flattened out his hair.
"Her hair looks smooth,' Barry thought smiling. She had them in low pigtails.
BBBBBRRRRINGGGG. The bell went and everybody ran to the hall. They sat in their formal lines. It seemed there was a commotion round the back. Barry saw. Tony was picking a fight with a younger student.
"Everybody settle down settle down. This Friday there will be an annual prom for the year 12's and up. Any questions?" The principal boomed. His voice echoed the the whole hall.
"Barry we are now year 12's, we can go to the prom," Iris whispered. Barry smiled nervously. After the announcement they all went to class, their first class was science.
"So everybody, can somebody tell me if sound is faster than light or light faster than sound?" Ms Garcia said with her strange accent.
"Em. Is light faster than sound?" Barry said.
"Look, nerdy Allen is answering another question. Here is a hard one, which is faster Allen or a snail? Snail wins by far. " Tony laughed mockingly.
'Someday, I'll show him who's fast," Barry said.
