Too much Brokeback to the Future + Too many sleepless nights + weeks of writer's block = weird BTTF slash oneshot. Please don't punch me in the face for this crappy story :( But considering that I've just had some fillings done, I won't be able to feel it anyway :P
Back to the Future Part III Deleted Scene
Marty had watched the Doc – his one and only true best friend – become infatuated with someone else and even though he tried to be happy for him, it was getting to the point where Marty just felt tired. He didn't want to wear that mask anymore, he wanted to end it all. He had to face the fact that he would never be happy with Jennifer and their life together would just be one big, fat stupid lie. As he observed the Doc repair the wheel of a wagon, something inside him changed. When he was with Doc, Marty was a hundred times happier and as their eyes met, his heart melted. That was it. He had to tell him before it was too late.
" Doc?"
" Yeah?" the Doc answered, his voice muffled from beneath the wagon.
" About Clara," Marty stammered awkwardly. " I don't think you should see her anymore. I mean, you said so yourself, it could be disastrous."
Doc Brown slid out on his wooden board, his face frozen into a frown. He stood up, straightened his clothes and gave Marty the dirtiest look he could muster. He didn't know why but that look turned Marty on. " Now why in 1885 would I do that? A little fling won't do any harm. It's not likle I'm marrying the delicate flower!"
" But what if it'll get more serious? I mean, isn't it weird? Dating a chick who died thirty five years before you were even born!"
" Marty, what has gotten into you?"
" I love you, Doc," said Marty, plain and simple. His voice cracked as tears clouded his eyes. " You've been my only friend for a while now. You mean a lot to me, man. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me. I mean, I-I can't live without you."
Doc eyed Marty, trying to find any sign that it was all a sick joke. But that sullen expression seemed particularly genuine. There was no doubt about it. The '80's teenager was telling the truth. Amazed, he turned his head in the opposite direction. Boy, how was he going to handle this? " It's, uh, normal for someone your age to experience these, uh, um, kind of, uh, feelings towards someone they look up to. Like a teacher or…or, uh…You know, all down to a rise in hormone levels…" he explained slowly, stammering as he tried to think of the correct and appropriate words.
Marty raised his eyebrows. " Doc, this is real. I don't know about that hormone level shit but I do know that I am, in fact, gay. C'mon, Doc! Gimme a chance. I can give you something that Clara can't."
The Doc shuddered and failed at removing that disgusting mental image in his brain. Still not facing Marty, he heaved a deep sigh, puffing out his chest. " McFly, you're a bright kid. You're good, you're talented, goodlooking; young! You've still got your whole life in front of you. Please don't throw it away just for an old coot like me. You'd just get hurt."
" No! You may think I'm still just a kid but I've grown up…Thanks to you and your crappy time machine." Smashing the model town they'd built together, Marty stormed off in floods of tears.
" Marty, wait!"
He hesitated for just a moment before he decided to chase after his best friend. Marty had just gone through the door when the Doc wrapped his arms around him, making the young man feel safe and warm and protected.
" You're the best, Marty," the Doc whispered softly in his ear.
" Yeah." Marty grinned. " You too."
