Kyuzo ain't dead. Via the powers of Photoshop, I know the following.
7 shots were fired.
Only 2 actually HIT Kyuzo.
Those two shots would've blown out both of his lungs.
Now listen.
Kyuzo talked before his death, so at least 1 lung was functional.
Kyuzo had blood coming out of his mouth, so 2 lung was probably pierced
This means.
He had one bullet go straight through his lung. The other only pierced his body.
By all means, unless he bleed out, he is alive.
But.
We saw his death. His head lulled to the side, and his eyes remained open. When this happened though, his head twisted way too fast in my opinion. It looked more like a conscious movement, rather than death.
What if Kyuzo went into some sort of concentrative healing focus, or something like that. I mean, he was blown up but still managed to have no scars on him. What if he used this technique then? Sure, Kambei closed his eyes, but what if Kyuzo was so far into this focus, that he simply didn't notice?
He also says, "I'll see you in the village." Kyuzo always struck me as a realist. I don't see him as being the type to divulge in denial like this.
In the end. Kyuzo is fucking alive. Rejoice.
