A/N: I do not own iCarly. This story contains Cam (CarlyxSam) stuff, so if you are opposed to the pairing for whatever reasons, don't read further. I support LGBT rights, so don't comment on how much you hate same-sex pairings, because I will argue with you and I have a good supply of arguments for LGBT rights. Thank you.
Carly ran loudly down the stairs of the loft. The doorbell was ringing over and over again, so it must be Sam. She was the only one who could fall asleep leaning against a doorbell button. DING DONG DING DONG DING DONG DI—Carly pulled open the door and a sleeping Sam fell against her, knocking them both to the ground. At least she woke up, Carly thought, rubbing her aching skull.
"Ow," Sam said finally, her head still resting on Carly's stomach. It's a comfortable position, Sam thought, then immediately tried to erase the idea from her mind. Carly was her best friend. Sam didn't need something like the feelings she'd had recently to come between them. And she knew Carly didn't feel the same way. The brunette girl had finally given in to Freddie's begging and gone on a date with the kid.
Carly got up. The feeling she had gotten when Sam fell on her had been interesting, for lack of a better word. Interesting in a different way then than the feeling she got whenever Freddie asked her out, the one that maybe going out with him wasn't the greatest idea. Maybe it was just because that was a new experience. I mean, it's not every day you go out with your next door neighbor-slash-friend who's had a crush on you since God knows when, she thought. Carly brushed herself off, and realized that Sam was asleep again. Someone didn't get a good night's sleep last night, Carly thought, and got a blanket from her room to put over Sam. "You can sleep over any time," Carly whispered.
"Mmuhm," Sam grunted, and pulled the blanket around her shoulders. She looked so calm and happy there that Carly decided to join her. Crawling under the blankets felt so right, but not as right as the feeling when Sam put her arms around her. Carly realized this was the moment that explained all the weird feelings about Freddie.
"I think I love you Sam," Carly said.
"I love you too," Sam mumbled.
Carly smiled. Even if it was just Sam's sleeptalking problem again, the words felt good. She pulled the blanket over them and curled up against the blond girl. The position felt… perfect. Like she was invincible as long as she was in Sam's arms.
A/N: The End! Hope you liked it! Constructive reviews appreciated :D
