The Ultimate Price
I looked across the field
To figures dressed in black
While I tried to shield
From the immanent attack
Their faces were hidden inside
A mask of angelic lies
And so then I tried
To end their disguise
But I knew I shouldn't hope
Because I couldn't put up a fight
I knew I couldn't cope
With their evil bite
And so they turned their eye
On my figure, dim
And though I would try
My future turned grim
They came towards my soul
With a murderous intent
They saw me as a whole
And saw my descent
They snarled there only warning
And I saw in their eyes
Their silent, hidden morning
For my demise
I took deep a breath
And fought my very best
And though I knew I was in for death
I was determined to beat the test
The world turned a blind eye
At my ultimate sacrifice
How many would have to die
To pay the ultimate price
