I'm not Supposed to Fall for You: A Zanya Love Story
Chapter One
Zane's point of view
"I wish Riley's locker was closer to mine," I thought to myself while staring at his locker, wondering where he was. Although his locker is only across the locker room I still can't ask him what he's doing later or tell him when the next LGBT meeting is. Yelling that across the room would be a joke Riley would probably kill me and so would Owen. What a Neanderthal, solving problems with his fists instead of his words, showing fear by showing no fear at all. I remember when Riley was like that. He punched Owen in the nose, for writing Riley is a fag on a bus. I told riley that if he EVER used his fists again I would be done with him, no more chances.
I glanced around looking for Riley, every one was already suited up for the game and Riley was no where to be found.
"Cover up everyone," Owen announced in an antagonistic tone, "We don't want rockette to be, 'distracted' during the game."
He made a gesture, but I wasn't paying too much attention to it, I had already gotten the "joke."
"Oh, good one." I retorted insincerely.
Just then Riley jogged in. I tried hard not to smile, I didn't want any more lip from the guys. I tried hard not to stare. Riley's muscular arms flexed as he took off his shirt, revealing his six pack that just barely glistened with sweat. I looked away nonchalantly trying not to bring attention to my self, or to the fact that I enjoyed sharing the locker room with Riley. I tried to refocus my attention on something else, but I had to sneak another peek.
"Rockette, no peeking," Owen laughed. "Save your love scene for tonight so you can stare all you want at his tiny-"
"Alright boys," coach cut him off. I wondered how much he had heard. "this team is undefeated now if we strategize and hustle we might be able to win." I glanced back at riley as the coach continued talking about our strengths and weaknesses. I saw that Riley was still steamed about Owens's comments. He smiled at me and the anger went away. He went back to looking at the coach. I take a lot of pride in knowing that I can help him calm down. How did I get such a great guy like Riley.
