Stay Back!
As the dust settled and as you walked away, I so desperately wanted to follow you. I take a step forward and you yell, "Stay back!" I look your way, confusion and a bit of chaos in my eyes. I plead silently for you to turn around, to look my way. You only keep walking away from me.
My heart to my throat and a cockeyed smile to my lips, I try one more step. But you fade from the line of my sight, the sun blinding my eyes to your profile in the sand.
I'd wait forever in this limbo for you to come to your senses. You are so alone, Vash, yet you don't let people in...You don't let me in...
You are not the only one wearing a mask but you are the only one whose mask is only halfway on.
When will you stop yelling those two words to me? When my heart is in my throat and determination in my eyes...when will you take me for granted and let me follow?

Let me keep hope inside my heart that you will recant your demand.
