Hey, So this is the new one. Its set with the same characters, plus a few extras.
This chapter is more of a background leading into it. Please let me know what you think.

I'm just like everyone else, I swear. Well I'm like all the wizards and witches, only I'm twelve. I lost my parents when I was born. They say dad died before I was born, mum died during childbirth. That's all I know. I now live with a man called Remus Lupin. He's a nice man, not rich, but he looks after me. As much as he can. I was placed in his care by Albus Dumbledore. Lupin says he's the headmaster of Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. He went there himself, told me all about his time there. It's such a great place, I couldn't wait to go.

Well that was until it got to the beginning of July last year when I turned eleven. It's supposed to be the time Hogwarts sends out the letters of acceptance. But mine never came. We waited weeks, when finally at the end of August, just one week before September, Lupin contacted Dumbledore to see what was going on. But apparently he didn't know either, I was supposed to get a letter but it didn't get sent out with the others. No one seemed to know why. Not that it mattered after all, I had missed the deadline for replying. I lost my place in Hogwarts and it was too late to apply to other wizardry schools.

Lupin wouldn't end it there though, throughout the whole year he told me Dumbledore was sorting something for me. He said it at least once a week. Meanwhile we had gone to Diagon alley in September, where I was bought a wand from Olivanders. It was all I was allowed to have, despite my request for one of the barn owls. I wasn't even allowed to use my wand for spells because of the ministry of magic rule about underage magic.
I was taught as much as I could be with my wand though. I've been taught how to do some spells, like wingardium leviosa. All the ones Lupin says first years learn. I haven't been able to practice them, but I know I've got it right. I've also read most of magical drafts and potions. I've seen and can name some ingredients used in potions, but I've never made a potion. But that's as far as my education got.

So now I bring it to the most recent event. Lupin had disappeared for the whole day, so I spent it going throughmagical drafts and potions. My memory is honestly not the best, so it doesn't matter how many times I read the book, I'll never remember the potions and ingredients.
Lupin returned in the evening, just in time for dinner, which luckily for him, I cooked. Lupin did usually cook when he was in, but as I had nothing to do, I thought it would be a good change. I cooked the muggle way, chopping vegetables and carrying food myself, since I didn't really know how to use my wand for that. It's not too bad though, cooking like a muggle. I find it quite relaxing, even if it is time-consuming.

We sat down to eat when he told me about his day, a ritual we always do when he has to go out. I would say what I've been doing and then he would.
"I went to see Albus Dumbledore." He started. "He's been asking me to teach at Hogwarts."
I immediately stared up at him, Lupin has never mentioned ever teaching at Hogwarts. It had never even crossed my mind that he could go and teach. I mean, Lupin's a brilliant teacher, he makes it all seem so easy. But if he went to Hogwarts, what would happen to me?

Lupin was looking at me, a smile rising underneath his moustache as if he knew what I was thinking. "It's already been arranged. You would come with me." I almost jumped out of my seat at this, the food landing on the floor. Lupin chuckled, steadying me with his arm.
I didn't even have to ask the question. Of course Lupin had agreed to teach at Hogwarts. And I was going with him.
