Chapter 1
Chance Meetings?
The Houndour looked around the obviously abandoned clearing.
How am I ever going to find the Mystical Island, if I can't even find who I'm looking for?
He glanced around the clearing once more before he shot an angry plume of fire in the air.
Huffing, he walked back through the dense forest, to ask, once again, where exactly he was supposed to go when he bumped in to an Eevee.
"Oops, sorry! I didn't see you!" It yelped.
The Houndour rolled it's eyes and continued on. This just wasn't his day.
The Eevee ran after him, a few paces behind, making sure to stay out from under his paws.
"Hi, my names' Bluestar. What's yours?" He asked when the Houndour didn't respond.
The Houndour sighed before replying, without stopping.
"Pyro."
"Where are you going? Can I come with you?"
Pyro groaned.
"Why? Don't you have some place to go, a family that misses you?"
Pyro didn't see Bluestar look down.
A rustling behind them made Bluestar run to Pyros' side.
A Stunky leapt at them, snarling.
Pyro easily knocked it aside, and before it could regain it's balance, Pyro shot a very focused ball of fire at it.
As Pyro turned to leave, a Skorpi jabbed at him, cutting Pyros' left leg. He turned and bit it on the tail, stopping it from attacking again, and tossed it into a tree. By this time the Stunky had picked itself up and lunged at him again, only to be greeted by a head but from his attackee, which left the Stunky unconscious.
The Skorpi had snuck behind them, and was preparing to sting Bluestar, who was watching Pyro, completely unaware of what was happening.
Just as the Scorpis' tail was coming down, Pyro blocked the attack with the plate on his head and with a powerful fire blast, left the enemy running with severe burns on it's body.
"Yeah! You did it!" Bluestar cheered.
He turned to see Pyro lean against a nearby tree. He was bleeding, and now, he was badly poisoned.
Bluestar whimpered.
But Pyro rose to his feet and walked on, without even making eye contact with him.
Then, a few feet away, Pyro looked over his shoulder, that as Bluestar noticed, had an odd tribal mark on it, and motioned for him to follow.
Bluestar bounded up beside him, to help him keep walking and went off in search of help.
