A/N I'm back! This time, with a Hunger Games.
**********CONTAINS MOCKINGJAY SPOILERS**********
I'm actually quite proud of this one, it just came to me today.
Anywho.
It's a poem from Prim's POV.
Enjoy! Read, review, check out my other stories!
I went to help them,
Just like mommy said.
Most of them were injured
Some of them...dead.
Then the parachutes came, daddy,
Floating from the sky.
They were here to help us!
But that was a lie.
There was a flash, like lightning.
And a big boom too.
were we dying, Daddy?
like Kat's friend Rue?
I looked around,
and there you were.
Why did you look sad, Daddy?
Your eyes were a blur.
You ran to me, and knelt,
And looked me, eye to eye.
You hugged me, Daddy.
Were you crying? Why?
You asked me what happened,
Keeping me close.
I told you about Katniss, our victor,
And you smiled and tapped my nose.
'Knew she could do it' you muttered,
Holding my hand.
'I was asking about you' you sighed,
'and all of Panem.'
So I told you about District 13,
How the Capitol was rioting.
I told you about our Mockingjay,
And you stopped smiling.
What happened, Daddy?
Did I say something wrong?
'No.' you replied.
'Shes just so strong.'
Then you looked at me,
In your eyes was fear.
What's wrong?
Daddy, I'm here.
'I know' you said,
Tears starting to form.
'I didn't expect you for so long.
You should be home, all warm.
You cried, daddy, till all your tears were gone.
But they started anew
When I said those four little words.
Daddy, I love you.
A/N :')
