I am lost
Always have been
Hidden in muscle and bone
Gone in plain sight
I disappeared before their eyes
I have faded from their minds
Which way to go,
When the riches will always flow?
Lost and looking for home,
I try to find that special place
My belonging space
As long as they had their gold
And silver too
They helped me pursue stories of old
My parents lost me
Blue eyes won (and lost)
Brown eyes with lashes lost (and won, but lost again)
My fellows can't find me
Neither can I
When I look in the mirror
But yet I am not here
I am lost
