Dawn
"Lady Jane," Thor called through the house. "Where are you?" Thor had just came from another blatantly amusing 'Avengers' meeting.
"I'm in the living room, Thor, with Pepper and Betty," she called out. Thor made a stop to the kitchen to grab a cookie that Jane baked that morning, and headed for their small living room.
"Hey honey," Jane greeted as he walked into the door. He knelt down and gave her a kiss and grinned when Jane went light pink. He plopped down on the couch next to her.
"What were the Midgardian ladies of my colleagues talking about?" he asked curiously.
"Oh, you know," Pepper said, waving her hand around in dismissal. "The 'Twilight Saga'." Thor's face turned into one of pure dislike.
"There are many errors in that revolting book. It deserves to be fried by lightning." The girls gasped in shock. "Thor, how could you SAY such things?" Betty asked dramatically, hand to her chest. Thor opened his mouth to reply when Jane spoke up.
"I think that Thor should read the last book." There were murmurs of agreement that came from the girls.
"I did that with Tony," Pepper said. "I made him read the entire series against his will and also forced him to write detailed summaries about them." They all giggled except Thor. Because one, men don't giggle, and two, he might be the one suffering through the pain of the impossible task of reading the last book in 'The Twilight Saga'. Jane stood up and walked towards the bookshelf that was on the far right wall. She grabbed a hardcover book that had the picture of a red pawn and a white queen.
"Lady Jane, please," Thor pleaded as Jane came towards him, book in hand. "Don't make me suffer through this again!" Too late. Jane shoved the book into Thor's hand and pushed him out the door.
"Read," she ordered and slammed the door in his face. Thor was shocked. And the realisation of what just happened hit him when he heard the girls laugh.
"Hey Hammer Time," he heard Tony's ever-so familiar voice ask. "Whatcha got there?" Thor silently lifted up the book.
"Breaking Dawn, huh?" Tony asked, he looked at Thor with pity. "I know how you feel. Right now, Pepper's making me read 'Gossip Girl'." A shudder ran through his body. "Well, see you later, Mean Swing." He clapped Thor on the shoulder and burst into the living room saying, "Pepper, here is the summary of the first Gossip Girl. Just like you asked."
