Rachels POV

As I walked enthusiastically down the hallway, I wondered what songs I should sing for this week's glee assignment: Musical crossovers. I was SO relieved that Mr. Schue had finally focused a week on something that could be expressed with not just one, but two musicals. And really, let's face it: I'm the best there is in that department. Sure, the whole experience with the extremely talented group of high-school students interested in NYADA threw me off a bit, but I believe that with all the positive experiences I've had in the past, NYADA will either be a helpful push toward my success, or a minor bump in the road in the unlikely event that I don't make it in.

All I really had to worry about is Kurt and his chance of making it to NYADA. I had no idea what I would do if he didn't manage to.

I began contemplating what it would be like to go all the way to New York without my best gay, when I heard a few loud, amused voices behind me, clearly feminine, and quite a few male voices. I turned around to see a group of individuals, all clinging to one another, laughing. I stopped and put on my brightest smile. Unlike last year, Rachel Berry this year was all about good first impressions. The group seemed to notice me and stopped directly before running into me.

"Hello!" I said, still showing off my brightest smile. "I'm Rachel, who are you?"

"Hey! I'm Joe, but you can call me Walker, it's just easier not to get mixed up." A burlier boy said.

"Um…" I faltered, not expecting him to be so boisterous. I was confused as to what I would get mixed up about.

I saw another boy, who wasn't nearly as 'built' as Walker step out. "Hey! I'm Joe too, but you can call me Moses." He said.

Oh, so that's what other Joe meant.

"I'm Lauren!" a friendly looking, tiny girl said.

"What's up? I'm Joey." A really tall boy with a goatee said.

"Dylan's my name. Nice to meet you."

I already liked Dylan. He had one of those warm smiles.

Another girl came right up and hugged me. " Hey there! I'm Meredith! Nice to meet you."

" I'M BRIAN" shouted a skinny boy who was still much taller than me.

"Hi Brian." I said kindly, trying to be as welcoming as the rest of these people.

"Are you all new?" I wondered out loud.

"Yep! All of us. Looks like you're our new guide!" Moses said as he gave me a pat on the back that was just a LITTLE too hard. I'll need to take some pain medication later to avoid inflammation.

Alright, this is your chance Rachel. You've got their attention, now rope them in.

"Oh! Ok. Well, the place I probably spend the most time is the choir room. I'm kind of a st-"

"Great! Take us there!" Lauren said, cutting me off.

Well that was easy.
