Little drabble based on Archie's comment in 2x10 "Pongo you know Regina".
"Have you by any chance been giving my dog treats?"
The question caught Regina completely off guard and she almost dropped the cup of coffee she was holding. After a quick glance to Archie, she decided that he wasn't upset; it actually sounded more like amusement in his voice.
Probably best to play it safe anyway.
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Regina shrugged as she sipped her coffee. "Why do you ask?"
Archie's face was inscrutable as he studied her. Damn that man was good at hiding his emotions when he wanted.
"It's just that Pongo suddenly seems to know exactly where I keep the treats in my office, and I know that I've never showed him…" he trailed off and gave her a knowing smirk.
"Well he's a smart dog, he probably just smelled them," Regina mused.
"So you didn't give him treats out of my special treat hiding place?"
"Nope."
"You sure?"
"Of course," Regina maintained with mock expression of hurt on her face.
She could have sworn he gave an amused little eye roll, before turning back to his filing cabinet.
She'd have to be much more careful next time.
