Troy Bolton took a good long look at the stage he had just preformed on. "Wow," he thought to himself, "I went from basket ball champ to drama-kid dork, all in under three months." He laughed at himself.

"Not still obsessing over that stage are you Troy?" Gabriella Montez snuck up behind him. Troy jumped.

"Don't scare me like that," he gasped. He turned around and gave her a big hug. "…Ready for the summer Gab? I know I'm not, I know that."

" Me neither, I just had so much fun this year, even moving up the social class system," Gabriella joked.

"I just have learned so much about myself this year. Including learning I could sing, well, sort of. I don't know so many things have happened this year." Troy explained.

It was a spring, May day. Both Gabriella and Troy were inside taking one last look at the school before they had to leave it for three months. They both had just preformed in their school's play, Twinkle Town. This put the school way out of place because Troy was the best player on the Wildcats basket-ball team and Gabriella was a new girl with a brain, even on the scholastic team. They met previously during winter break, during a karaoke singing contest where both were forced to sing up on stage. Then, three days later, they were in the same homeroom. Afterwards, they found out about the winter "Musicael" as the drama director says. Neither were going to participate in it, however, Troy one day hid behind a mop during free period to watch the try-outs. Most of them weren't very good. He even thought Ms. Darbus was being a tad bit harsh. Once again, Gabriella snuck up behind him and then ran out to try out, even though Ms. Darbus said try-outs were over. Just as fate wanted, Kelsi Nielson tripped, pappers fell all over the place and Troy and Gabriella, being very kind hearted, rushed over to help. They sang the song What I've been looking for, The song that Sharpay and Ryan Evans messed up. Ms. Darbus heard and gave them call backs. That's how all this started.
