Broken Crown.

It was never about the book and the fairytales, not at the beginning anyway. Henry knew something was wrong since he realized he was the only person who grow and change in Storybrooke. When he is six he talks about it with his mom, she says that he just didn´t realize it, but everyone had grown in this year, he knows she is lying. He doesn´t have friends, not really, he ages, the other kids don´t and they seem to forget the time they spent together in past, soon people know him pretty well, but they don´t remember the years that went by, they are trapped in a perpetual state of age and mind, he starts to think that his mother is right and he is going crazy.

Ms. Blanchard gives him a book about fairytales, she thinks a dose of pretending might give him a better vision of reality, when he reads the book, he realizes everything, since that day he doesn´t feel comfortable around his mother, for he knows she is the evil queen, with her fake excuses and putting down his hopes and ideas, he is mad and disappointed at her, but he can´t bring himself to stop loving her, she did raise him after all.

He´s sure that his biological mother is the savior and he goes after her, it´s not easy but he must do it to save everyone from the terrible curse that traps them, he denies it, but deep down he do it for himself, worst than never aging is aging in amidst of people who don´t.

When he finds Emma and bring her to Storybrooke he is happy as he wasn´t in a long time, and when the clock starts to moving he sighs in relief, there was a small part of him that still believed that he was crazy, sometimes he thinks it would be better if he was.

When the curse is broken and everyone remembers who they were, he thought that every problem would end, but in reality, happily ever after did not exist, not even to the characters of the stories.

Regina offers him the solace of magic when he admits to her what bothered him all this years was the constant lying, she offers the power that many people wouldn´t dream off, but Henry knows better, magic always come with a price and the price would be ending up like his mother, in that moment he promises himself that he would never be like her, he wouldn´t follow into the Queen´s path, he would never wear her broken crown.
