As Katara walked into the kitchen that morning, she had a grin on her face. It wasn't one of those grins you get for a couple seconds after someone tells a bad joke. This grin had been on Katara's face since the moment she had woken up that morning. It had remained on her face even though she slipped getting into the shower, and it remained on her face as she looked for her necklace, which she found under the bed.

She wasn't really sure what had made that morning so pleasant up to when she walked into the kitchen. Maybe it was because she knew what would be waiting for her at the table.

"Good morning, Katara," Aang said to her as she sat down at the table.

"Morning Aang," Katara said with that same grin on.

Maybe her face muscles could anticipate that she would be like this once she saw Aang. Or maybe it was just the thought of him since she'd woken up.

Now that she really thought about it, it was definitely the second one. Aang was the only thing on her mind as she didn't notice the towel that made her trip in the bathroom. It's not that was wasn't thinking when she accidentally knocked her necklace under the bed, it's just that she wasn't thinking about anything except him.

Aang took a sip of his tea that he had poured for both of them and just smiled that amazing smile of his. She hadn't said anything to cause it; it was just because they were together. Katara didn't have to move a muscle to reciprocate his smile. It had already been there since the moment she had woken up.
