Disclaimer: I don't own Avatar…wait, I don't say that here….XD I don't own Naruto though, either. Shonen Jump and all the creators there do.

A/N: I've never ever ever EVER done a Naruto fanfic. So I apologize if I screw this up, since I've literally only seen like 20 or so episodes, and only showing Naruto basically and none of the other main characters. So, it might stink at first, but I'm going to do the best job I can. And this is for w.i.t.c.h fan in ut for being such a loyal reader. This is her story request. So, on that note, if anybody has a story request, send me a message and I'll see what I can do. :D Here is a Naruto version of Mulan…or is the other way around? XD Please review.

A sweet breeze that carried the promise of a glorious new day flitted through a small town in China.

But not for a girl with raven hair and foggy lilac eyes. "Oh, dear, I hope I am not too late!" she worried, scurrying into the house a street down from where she resided.

"Hinata, why are you late today??" her mother scolded, removing a piece of straw from her hair. "Oh no, this won't do at all," she frowned, analyzing her daughter. "Well, let's get you at least to appear somewhat hygienically!" Hinata's mother grabbed her by the wrist, leading her to the bathroom. Quickly Hinata was reduced to nakedness, gently pushed into a wooden tub of cold, bubbly water. Immediately Hinata held her shivering body by the arms. "It's….cold…." her lips trembled.

"Well, let's see. Would the water have been cold if you got here when you were supposed to? NO!" her mother snapped as she lathered her single child's hair with blossom-scented shampoo.

Once Hinata, clad in a towel, was properly bathed, her mother sent her into another room in which two friends waited patiently for the young beauty to arrive. When she did, the two women smiled gently to her, getting to work as soon as possible. One of the helpers slipped a snow white dress with bell sleeves over the eighteen-year-old. To Hinata's discomfort, a lavender fabric constricted around her torso like a python, followed by a silky obsidian sash, which pulled around her waist, and even tighter, a perfect butterfly bow tied at the small of her back.

The small woman that dressed Hinata handed her over to the long, elegant lady. With some struggle, Hinata sat on her knees and closed her eyes. Her baby face grew as white as the shells of sunflower seeds, and using a paint brush, her petite lips grew as red as an apple, her eyelids transforming to the night itself.

Her grandmother appeared in the doorway then. "Why, Hinata, you look beautiful!" she gushed, the wrinkles near her eyes lifting. The elderly woman hugged her beloved granddaughter tightly, then pulled her away by the shoulders to look into her eyes. "You are a young woman now, and I believe it's time for you to have this…" she reached into her pocket and pulled out a necklace with black and white pearls…with a sun-shaped amythest in the center.

"Oh my…"Hinata gasped.

Her grandmother merely smiled and tied it around her neck. "This was mine when I was your age. I give it to you know in hopes that it will be blessed by your honor." Hinata was at a loss for words, but, realizing she had to move quickly, she hugged her grandmother, slipped on some black slipper-like shoes, took a black parasol with white butterflies and rushed out the door.

Soon she was met with a line of girls, all waiting for the same person. They bowed, opening up their parasols as the doors slammed open.

"Fa, Hinata," a grouchy old voice called.

A/N: As you can see, I have no imagination right now. XD I would love some advice if you have some, like what the characters are like, or just writing critiscism in general. Tell me what you think! ^_^;;
