They decide to have the wedding in Canada, just in time for the leaves to redden and sway.

It's a small outdoor ceremony, with only close friends and family invited. Claret autumn leaves dance across the ground, and the clear blue skies create the most breathtaking background. Aichi's white dress and Toshiki's dark suit stand out against the vibrant colors.

(When asked about why, exactly, did the couple choose to have Aichi wear a dress instead of a suit, no answer would reply. They didn't really know why either.)

The whole ceremony goes by in a blur, and in the end Toshiki can only remember what happens after the ring exchange.

Miwa hands the nearly-wed couple the rings. They begin the exchange— and suddenly, a bird swoops down and swipes Toshiki's ring before flying into a tree and dropping the ring into its nest.

A nonplussed silence follows this action, because, seriously? What just happened?

Finally, Kamui volunteers to climb the tree. He's not successful, and falls onto his butt. Miwa tries next, but his and everyone else's attempts fail.

Toshiki is the only one to notice Aichi scramble up the tree in his white wedding dress and grab the ring, so he's the only one who reacts in time to catch the falling bride groom-to-be.

On the way down, Aichi somehow twists his ankle. Toshiki worries, but the other gave him a look and Toshiki has to compromise. They exchange rings, speed through the rest ceremony, and promptly send Aichi to the local hospital.

Before they get into the car, though, Toshiki carries Aichi bridal-style and kisses him. The resulting cheer from behind nearly leaves him deaf, but Aichi's beam totally makes up for it.

OMAKE:

When Toshiki confesses, it's not particularly romantic.

They're sitting in that spot Aichi seems to like, where the steps end and the water ripples. A pork-bun is being shared between them, and sunshine dances across their hands.

Aichi rambles, and Toshiki can catch the words "Emi", "crush", "a boy at her school". The way Aichi grips his hand and smiles is extremely distracting, so when the other asks him something— he can only hear Aichi say "love", "Kai-kun", "Do you?"— he replies without thinking.

"I love you."

The silence begins stretching, and Toshiki suddenly realized what he said. "Ah…"

Then Aichi smiles again, this time brighter, happier. "I love Kai-kun too."

I'd like to say thanks to those who reviewed about the numbers! Not sure what happened, actually... Thank you very much!
