The sun sets on the magnificent island of Themyscira, the home of an ancient civilization of strong beautiful women. They call themselves the Amazons, a land of sisters. Among all the sisters there's a daughter, an eager daughter, a daughter who ambition far exceeded her age. She felt ready to take on the world, ready to see the world, she knew there's more than just Themyscira amazing as it might be.
The young girl hid away in the trees as she watched the watchmen guarding a royal structure. She snuck around them and swiftly subdued them with graceful sweep of the legs, she was proud of herself but wasn't surprised at her power. Her power has always been stronger than even most of the warriors the land has to offer. After appreciating her own work she begins trying to pick the lock to door, but she struggles, and struggles some more. She pauses, angry and takes a moment to think. Then comes with the brash idea of just breaking down the old wooden doors with her raw strength. The daughter was in could barely hold back her smile.
In the room was glorious treasure that would make a mans mouth water but she didn't care about the treasures, she only cared about specific artifact. It was almost hidden but it didn't take long for the excited young girl to find it. It had an yellow glow that illuminated her face, she could cry but contained herself as she has found the lasso of truth. Once worn or tangled by it, one must tell truth no matter what. Her moment is ruined by the royal guard "Holt, and drop the lasso! We don't want to fight you, sister!". The daughter wasn't scared, not all. She only felt excitement, excitement for a great fight.
She lunges at them with the lasso. Although the guards are reluctant but prepare for battle. She dodged each thrust of their spears, she was even able to tie up the weapons with the bright lasso and fling it away from battle. Then it became a show of strength and agility. The women could barely keep up with her speed and eventually would fall by the girls fists. Again she was impressed by her skill but she was interrupted the queen of Themyscira, her mother. She rode in on horseback and stared down at her child. The Queen finally speaks "Explain yourself my child." but her daughter falls silent. Her mother speaks again with her voiced raised "I only ask once, Diana!-" then she interrupts her mother "I only wanted to prove myself worthy!"
The queen is somewhat stunned by what her daughter exclaimed then looks around the area. A shattered door, wounded amazons, and theft of a sacred tool of the island. All done by the hands of Diana Princess of Themyscira, and her mother is washed over disappointment. After looking around she gently speaks to Diana "You have only achieved the opposite of your desired goal, Diana". Hearing this makes Diana completely silent, but her eyes begin to swell up with tears. Her proudest moment of her youth was followed by her most ashamed. Her mother comes down from her majestic horse and walks to her daughter "There'll be a day where you'll be worthy, but you must be patient young one." Diana then hands over the lasso of truth to her mother.
THE END.
