Why didn't you stay?:
George saw a bright light, was it his mum telling him to wake up for school? No, that was a long time ago, plus this was a lot brighter.
"Hey, you're here! Took you long enough, I was about to come down there and get you myself!" It was a voice... A voice that was very familiar to him, but he couldn't quite place it. The light was still to bright to be able to see who it was.
"Who are you?" Asked George. His eyes were beginning to adjust.
"Oh come on! You don't recognise your own brother?" Said the voice sadly. George could see now, and he could see who's voice it was.
"Fred!" George shouted hugging him, wait a minute he was the same height as a 19 year old Fred, something was not right. George looked at his hands, he was young again! "Where are we?"
"A more appropriate question, brother is what are we?"" Smirked Fred.
George sighed. "What are we? Then."
Fred smiled. "We're dead!"
"What?!" George shouted. "My kids... My wife." He began crying.
Fred saw this. "You haven't cried this much since I died." He said slowly. "You can look over your kids, you know?"
George stopped crying and looked over the edge, he saw his family crying over his body. "Fred, there was always something I wanted to ask you."
"Hmm?" Asked Fred, smiling.
"Why didn't you become a ghost?" Gorge asked, quietly.
Fred smiled, then whispered something into his ear. "I'm afraid of ghosts." He said jokingly.
George knew he wasn't going to get any answers from him, but he smiled, nevertheless.
(A/N I hope you enjoyed this short story, I know it's not a lot, but I just wanted to get something on Fanfiction.)
