Ok, its another l&j fic. This one's my first so don't be too judgemental. Lily's a prefect, James is a Marauder. He's CRAZY in live with Lily, but she's not. R&R!!

Chapter 1: Going Back
I sat by the compartment window, thinking of how great it was to be on my way back to Hogwarts. I had been away for Christmas. Boy, am I glad that's over!! One can only have so much homemade Cream Apple Strudel in one week! Should I mention it turns your hair red?? Anyways, it's good to be on my way back.
Suddenly, Sirius exclaimed, "James?? Earth to James!!! Can you hear me??"
"I think he's gone temporarily deaf in the inner ear!" Remus added with a smile.
"I have no comment to that, smarty pants!" Sirius then replied to Remus.
"In coming! Annoying girls at three o'clock!!" Peter said anxiously.
Uh oh. Every year I get bomb barded with girls. From little firsties to scary 7th years. Am I that irresistible?? I guess even now, on our way to the second term of the 6th year, they aren't gonna stop.
The compartment door slid open, and in walked Brittany Neilson and Demi Spar.
"Like hi James," said Demi in the most flirtatious voice possible.
"Hi," I replied curtly.
Behind the girls' backs, Sirius was pretending to vomit.
"So, like what did you like do over the like break?" Brittany asked.
"Why do you care?" I asked back. I don't care how rude I might sound, this is OBNOXIOUS!!! It was cute at first, but now………
"Well, well, well. What have we here? Perhaps two girls trying to impress a certain marauder??" Lily Evans said as she walked into the compartment.
Thank goodness. Lily Evans has come to save the day. She's the only one in the whole school who doesn't go all goo-goo eyed when she sees me. Lily and I are not on the best terms, which is kind of ironic because she and Remus are best friends. Man, I wish that was me in Moony's spot because Lily is CUTE!!! She has red hair that is just…..like a blazing sunset. And her eyes are the deepest emerald green. Those eyes take in everything and yet give nothing.
"Oh. It's like Lily know-it-all Evans." Demi replied coolly.
"And it's like the girls who are like way too like out of their league!!! James is like soooo annoyed like right now! Like maybe you should like go back to the like little kid section and like look for boys there because like they are the only ones who are like meant for you!!" Lily said with a valley girl accent.
"Whatever. We do NOT like talk like that. I mean like you are soooo like jealous that he like likes us and not like you." Demi replied to Lily.
Lily started smirking. In my opinion, Lily is the BEST!!!!!
"Yeah so like get your BUTTS OUT OF OUR LIKE COMPARTMENT!!" Sirius bellowed, mocking their way of talking.
With a final humph, the two girls left.
"Thanks, I guess." I muttered embarrassed.
"No problem. I didn't do it for you though. They were bugging me too." She replied semi-curtly. Did I detect a faint smile or am I just desperate for her to find some good in me?
Lily stayed and talked for a bit, and then she left to do some prefect duty. About twenty minutes later, the train pulled into the station, and I was home.
