Author's Note: This story is dedicated to Phoenix Firewing(did I get that right?). Thanks for waiting so patiently. Here's your Dream Street fic! (Sorry they're so OOC. I've never actually seen the show, so...)
Daisy Do-Right frowned. The Wild Bunch had scattered themselves all over the road- again!
"Come back here!" she cried.
"No, no, no!" shrieked The Wild Bunch.
Daisy sighed. Getting The Wild Bunch to behave was like trying to get a traffic light to start turning red for Go and green for Stay. She may as well give up. Wait, what was she saying? She was Daisy Do-Right, for goodness' sakes! She never gave up!
"Now you stop and listen to me, you guys! You need to get out of the road. It's dangerous. You could get hurt, or hurt someone else!" Daisy scolded.
"But we don't want to!" they whined.
"I don't mind if you don't want to, you have to!" Daisy bossed. Then she frowned. Maybe she should try being nice instead.
"Why don't you go play hide-and-seek?" she suggested.
"Hide-and-seek! Hide-and-seek!" they cried. They all got out of the road and went and hid.
"Wow, Daisy, you sure know how to handle The Wild Bunch." said a shy squeaky voice from behind her. Daisy turned.
"Oh, Buddy, I didn't see you there." She said, suddenly feeling shy herself.
Oh, this is silly! She told herself. It's just Buddy, you don't need to be all shy around him! But try as she might, she still felt a tiny bit nervous around him. She was careful not to let it show, though.
"Well, I'd better go. Patrolling and stuff. And, uh, thanks." She said. She hoped she didn't sound too stupid.
Now you're just being a baby! It's Buddy, for crying out loud! He's just-
"Wait!" Buddy's voice interrupted the scolding she'd been giving herself.
"Yes?" she said, a touch nervously.
"Um, nothing." He stammered.
"Okay. Well then, bye." She said, feeling slightly disappointed, although she wasn't sure why.
"Um, Daisy?"
"Yes?" she said, now feeling annoyed. Honestly, he should just spit it out!
"Um... you look really pretty." He said shyly. Now Daisy didn't feel annoyed anymore.
"Thanks. Yellow looks really good on you, too." She said, feeling all sugary inside.
"Gee, thanks!" he said happily. And before she knew what was happening, he was kissing her.
It felt like drinking a pile of Cherry Cokes and going on a roller coaster all at once. It was like being filled with something sticky sweet and it was more fun than a thousand games of I Spy.
This is what pink must taste like... thought Daisy dreamily.
Then it was over. Not too short, but not long. Like a little piece of candy. You eat it and is tastes good and then it's gone.
And then it was just her and Buddy, staring at each other awkwardly.
"Um... patrol! Gotta go!" cried Daisy and she turned and fled the abandoned street.
"Bye!" called Buddy as Daisy fled the scene. He smiled to himself. And several streets away, Daisy closed her eyes, sighed, and smiled, too.
Author's Note: Well, there you have it. Short and sweet(like Daisy's kiss, eh?). I apologize for the OOC-ness I am sure was running rampant in this piece. Please forgive me. Anyway, if anyone has a request for a baby's show they'd like to see turned into a fanfic(a serious one, not one of those awful parodies) PM me or comment. I accept all challenges! (You know, as long as it's a baby show and isn't M rated or anything).
