Subject: Eighth Grade Science.

Teacher: Elderly fat mat known as Mr. de la Olla.

Everyone dreaded the class: those who had it and those who had to hear the complaints.

All the old man ever talked about was his animals. "I don't get why everyone is afraid of a pitbul, a cougar's bite is actually a lot worse. In fact, last night I was rough housing with the stupid thing and it dug its fangs right into my arm."

IT WAS BORING!

Sora yearned to learn! He wanted homework.

That explained how boring it was. He wished for homework. The only good thing about the dreaded class was the red head beauty sitting right next to him listening intently to the cougar story for the hundredth time.

The most entertaining thing lately was staring at Kairi and passing some drool onto the desk.

Kairi had been his best friend since the first grade. Now they were in eighth grade listening to Cougar stories. If they were lucky it'd be some other animal. But nope, not today.

A piece of paper landed lightly on his desk. Looking around surreptitiously he slowly picked it up and opened the folded paper.

I think I can recite the Cougar story word by word.

Sora chuckled.

Tell me about it! This reminds me of the first grade when they read to us The Cat in the Hat. He passed the note back.

No… The Cat in the Hat was better. She wrote delicately, dotting her i's with hearts. She folded the note before giving it to him.

He read it.

Ha-ha…Who's walking you to 4th? He asked.

No one.

Can I walk you?

Yeah! Sure.

He received the note and smiled. The bell rang and the teacher yelled "I want a summary one the Cougar story due next class, its worth two grades."

They collected their items and walked out.

"So… what's up? Sora asked.

"Nothing. You?"

"Eh…nothing, I guess."

They walked side by side, hands brushing. She blushed and pulled her hand away.

"Can't believe we have to do a summary!" Kairi mumbled, breaking the silence between them.

"Yeah, I know."

When they got to her class he gave her a soft smile.

"Well here we are." Sora said.

"Yup."

"I'll pick you up after class."

"Ok."

"Bye Kairi."

"Bye Sora." She got tippy-toes and gave him a peck on the cheek. He blushed and she smiled as she walked in.

'Maybe science class isn't so bad after all,' Sora thought as he walked away with a grin that not even Riku could wipe away.

Wow, it's been a while don't you think? I've missed typing. HEE-HEE. Well, I have to admit I wrote this last year (2006) in August. And yes, it's based on a real classroom and teacher.

I never thought it was good enough, but my editor/cousin said it could be fixed and so now it's here for your judging and enjoyment.

I have to admit this was not a challenge. I got inspired on my own and wrote it just like I did with "Hunger Overcomes All" and "Emotions Don't Make Me Stronger They Destroy What Makes Me Human." My editor and I are now writing a story. Yes, and it is Kingdom Hearts. Well, if you guys enjoyed this one you should give my other story "Pink Sweater" a chance.
