AN: So this wasn't originally going to be about their break-up, but I was just writing and it just sorta happened. I think it's kinda an explanation as to why BECK HAS NO CHARACTER AT THE MOMENT! Um… sorry about that… Anyway it just sort of shows you that Becks not being emotionless, he just doesn't want to get hurt again… Yeah and I know, it sucks…. xxx

Beck knew things about Jade that no one else did. Things he knew he could never tell anyone. Some of them were deep and emotional, but others were just plain embarrassing. For example he knew that Jade harboured a secret obsession for Taylor Swift, or that her bedroom walls, although painted black, were covered in butterfly stickers. But he also knew that her father was at home 20% of the time, and that her mother was a drug-addicted, alcoholic. Jade had many, many different quirks and sometimes they made the road at little bit bumpier than it needed to be, but at the end of the day, Beck knew he'd never change her for anything.

Beck sat on the steps of his RV, contemplating every little detail of Jade. He knew he'd made a mistake that night. He'd had ten seconds; ample time to open the door and take her in his arms. But for whatever reason he'd continued playing that stupid game of cards. So, once again, he was sat on the cold metal, thinking about all that could have been. It was always could have been. They'd always messed up… He'd always messed up… Deep down he knew that Jade was the one for him, and Tori Vega could never really measure up. And after all, who was he kidding, he loved it when Jade would yell at him, or threaten to kill random girls who would hang round with him. It made him feel wanted… no, needed.

But if Jade really did need him, why was he sat on his own? Why had she ignored him since the fatal break-up? Why did he sometimes see her crying, but then she'd smile and shake it off? Why had she turned into an emotion less droid? The questions buzzed round his head and then suddenly he couldn't take it anymore. He was sick of that little voice in his mind that was constantly telling him what to do. But then he remembered that, although he missed Jade so very dearly, they had broken up for a reason. So maybe it would be better for them to be apart a while. He knew he loved her, but sometimes he didn't love the things she did. He'd just have to wait and see how things panned out. Because, although he knew things never fixed themselves, sometimes they'd have a very good go at it.
