There was something different about her when she returned. It wasn't the way she walked, the way she talked, or even the way she acted. Just the way she was, her aura, the feeling she gave when she stepped into the room. The feeling of absolute authority, the feeling of independence and uncontrolled, raw power, radiating off of her in waves. Her new self demanded absolute respect, and perhaps unintentionally, absolute attention. No matter where she went, these new attributes became painfully obvious, and his affections for her grew.
But he feared her. She was someone that was to be feared. That's just what she was. She demanded everything, and received fear as a bonus. But along with that fear came the fear of losing her, or rather, never having her. She was Roy's girl. This was common knowledge. This had always been common knowledge. Riza Hawkeye, was, and always would be, Roy's girl. But from her place, linked with Roy's arm, she sent Edward a glance that made a shiver go down his spine.
Maybe all wasn't lost, yet.
