It was a typical day at Torchwood. Everyone was working or appeared to be working. Owen was probably playing solitaire, Gwen playing some online game, and Ianto was in the kitchenette experimenting with different coffee flavours. Toshiko was probably the only one actually working.

"Hey guys, I'm starving." Owen grumbled.

"There is this new Japanese across the Plass. That sounds good." Gwen said.

"Tosh, maybe you can find some of your relatives there." Owen teased.

"Oh, stop it, Owen." Gwen said. Tosh shot her a grateful look.

"So, do we want to check this place out?" Jack asked.

"Yeah." Gwen said.

"Sure." Tosh said.

"That's settled then." Jack said.

They walked over to the restaurant and were seated. They ordered their food and waited. The chef came over and began cooking. The fire shot up and it all went crazy from there.

Gwen and Ianto were mesmerized by the fire. Jack laughed at them. Owen jumped a foot in the air and yelled. Toshiko claimed that she did not know them.

"I'm going to the bar." Toshiko said. "Owen, you coming?"

"Yeah." Owen shakily said.

They walked over to the bar.

"So, you are scared of fire?" Tosh asked.

"Yeah, but don't make a big deal out of it." Owen said.

"Right because you have a reputation to uphold. I wouldn't want to hurt your precious ego." Tosh teased. Owen let out a small laugh.

"Why did you leave the table?" Owen asked.

"They were embarrassing me." Tosh said.

"Who was? Captain hyper or the hypnotized Welsh members?" Owen asked.

"All of them. Gwen and Ianto look like they have never seen fire before, and Jack is going all pyromaniac on us." Toshiko said.

"Why did you invite me to the bar?"

"Because you looked terrified which is ironic considering you deal with scarier things every day. Plus I didn't want to be alone." Tosh explained.

"We never did get that date did we?" Owen asked.

"No. We didn't." Tosh said.

"How about you and me ditch those losers and go get some real food?" Owen suggested.

"Sure." Tosh took the arm he offered.

The rest of the team had no idea that their team members left them.
