Disclaimer: I don't own HP

I inhaled deeply and immediately associated the lapping waves, salty air and breezy wind with the beach. Why would she bring ME of all people to a beach? But she's always had her reasons, however irrational. Feeling the sun shining down on me, I subconsciously tilted my head towards the sun, craving the warmth that was always absent in the dungeons. As the warmth of the sun fills me, a strange yearning fills me. Starting to panic, I took a deep breath, and shoved it back down, occluding my mind.

I slowly turned to face Ginny, and glare at her. How dare she have the nerve to create such a reaction in me? Her amused giggle comes from behind me, I quickly turn around, but I mistimed my reaction, tripped on my own feet and fell flat on my arse. Witnessing my moment of clumsiness, she starts out right chuckling. However affronted I may be that she is laughing at my expense, her laughter sounds like music to my ears and I can't help but to relax; but nonetheless, I still try to hide it.

"When can I take this thing off?" I demand, referring to the blindfold strapped to my head.

"Go on," Ginny instructs.

I yank the blasted piece of cloth of my head. When the light first hits my eyes, I blink in confusion before realizing that I'm currently standing alone with Ginny Weasley alone on a magnificent beach with waves lazily lapping on the shore, palm trees gently swaying in the wind and warm sand tickling my bare toes.

Then the absurdity of the situation hit me. I turn to face Ginny with a look of confusion, "why are we here?"

Seeing my look of confusion and accurately assessing the situation, Ginny's eyes narrowed at my and accused, "You forgot your own birthday, didn't you?"

Judging the guilty look on my face, she snapped," Merlin Blaise, is it really so hard for you to appreciate yourself once in a while? See," she said, spreading her arms and gesturing out at the beach, "It's the one you used to visit when you were a little boy, you know, before –," she halted, seeing the look on my face, she amended. "I thought you would enjoy being back here."

"Thank you," though seeming insufficient, I can't seem to express my gratitude to her for bringing me to my childhood sanctuary.

She beams at me.

"Could it be?" Ginny teases, "the mighty Blaise Zabini is at a loss for words."
