A/N: This is just something I threw together. I'm not really good at writing for Kairi.

This is the 'not-so-perfect-home' scenario…

"Did you hear? Sora and the girl came back…No, no. I don't think the other boy's returned yet…"

After I arrived home, it was like nothing had happened.

"Hey mom," I called cheerfully, walking through the door. "I'm back!"

"Kairi!" I heard her yell from the other room. "Come here!"

I went to her, thinking she'd be happy to see me again. It's been so long.

"Where've you been you little brat?!"

Maybe I'd forgotten.

"I haven't seen you in months!"

"Mom, that's because I was—" But she cut me off.

"And Sora's mother tells me he's been gone too." She accused.

"Mom, I know what you're implying, but—"

"Don't think I don't know what you two were up to; the whole island's talking about it." She ranted. "I wish you would've stayed with Riku. What happened to him? He used to be such a good boy…"

Is there another Riku?

"…Sora is nothing but trouble. Stay away from him."

What? "No." I clenched my fists.

"What did you say?"

"I said 'no' Mom."

"You can't." she warned.

"I can do as I like." I grimaced. "Just because The Island put you in charge of me doesn't give you the right—"

"Kairi, I'm your mother…"

"No," I sneered. "You're not."

I let the door slam behind me. Has it really been that long? She still hasn't changed.

Riku had the right idea…Don't come back once you leave. Stay gone.
