Update:Carin: OH MY GOSH! I just got a review that made me realise that I entirely forgot to put a content warning before this chapter, there will be some swearing , and some alcohol use or mention. Thank you so so much to lovekotlc for pointing that out, the rest of the chapters there won't be so much language, and my same rule aplies as always, anything more than crap ,screw freaking, damn or hell will be sensored. Again so sorry about that!
Ten years from now can we still hold hands?
Will things still be the same or will they change?
Will the changes make us happy or will they kill us on the inside?
Will our choices today pick away souls tomorrow?
Will we still lie in fields and look at the stars?
Will the grass still tickle our feet when we run bare foot on the shores of moonlit waters?
Ten years from now will we still hold hands?
It was a terrible terrible plan, getting so drunk that was, because Linh was on the floor almost choking from how hard she was laughing at Biana making some odd list of things she should find out about the future,
"Biana," laughed Sophie, "how the hell do I get to the future in the first place," Linh laughed harder, her and Biana (and Dex but only the three of them were there) had just graduated from the silver tower earlier that day and had decided to have a girls night in, however now Sophie was barely able to muster a logical thought without laughing at it, and her friends were having the same issue,
"You teleport there duh," responded Biana, Linh made her laughing slow down a little bit and then sat up,
"What if doesn't work," she asked before starting laughing again,
"Teleport somewhere else," responded Biana, Sophie shrugged,
"Why the hell not." she decided, Biana threw her hands up in celebration,
"Hell yeah MotherF*ers," Biana yelled loudly. There was pounding up the footsteps, Edaline came in the room,
"You are adults and I am totally fine with you having a weird party thing, but please be quiet people are trying to sleep," Edaline told them looking very… frustrated,
"Sorry mrs Ruewen," whispered Biana. Edaline left the room with a sigh, and a look of, 'I have failed as a parent'. Linh started laughing again,
"So should I just like jump out the window," Sophie asked,
"Hell yeah," said Biana, Linh still hadn't stopped laughing. Sophie walked over and opened the window, "so remember, make sure we're all still with our matches, the jobs were pursuing still make us happy, and more than anything that we're all still friends," Biana explained as Sophie edged towards the end of the window, "If things get to weird come back, okay." Sophie nodded and leaped off the window, the void opened, and she thought of herself , ten years in the future.
AN: Carin: Hello! Just wanted to give the quick note that the beginning part was written by me because I know I've seen fanfics with quotes at the start. Hope you enjoy! Sorry this is a bit short! Next chapter will be longer!
