The Teen Titans had gathered in the common room to play a game on their weekly game night. After much thought, they decided to play Hang Man and it was currently Beast Boys turn.
"Is your word on the board, jokester?" Starfire asked. She was very good at this game which was unusual, being born on a different planet.
Beast Boy jumped excitedly, "Yes! Now it's your turn Starfire," he grinned before walking over to her and handing her the whiteboard marker and sitting down in between Cyborg and Robin. He would have sat next to Raven, who was reading a book, but she glared at him before he had the chance to sit down.
Starfire rubbed out the half completed hangman drawing on the board. She pondered what her word should be. "Oh I do not know which word to choose, there are so many words," the Tamaran princess tapped her chin thoughtfully while floating.
"How about something you love?" Beast Boy suggested with a goofy grin.
Cyborg elbowed him and said in a low voice, "This should be good."
Robin stiffened. She wouldn't… would she? He thought frantically.
Starfires face lit up as she thought of a something, "Oh I know just the word." She giggled and wrote five spaces on the board.
"How about oh I don't know, the letter R!" Beast Boy suggested wagging his eyebrows. Robin anxiously wiped the sweat off his hands and onto his pants, hoping the others wouldn't notice. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Raven turn her head towards him. Ignoring her, he stared at the board with a poker face hoping the empath wouldn't pick up on his vibes.
Starfire clapped happily, "Oh how did you know?" She wrote the letter 'r' in the third space and Robin internally breathed a sigh of relief, she had saved him from endless teasing from Beast Boy and Cyborg.
Beast Boys face fell, "That's not how you spell his name," he interrupted.
"Yeah," added Cyborg. Robin sat up straighter and narrowed his eyes, while Starfire tilted her head to the side, cutely, Robin added. "Whose name do you speak of?" She asked, wondering if she did indeed spell her word wrong. "Why Robins of course," Beast Boy said with a sly grin on his face. Starfire dropped her whiteboard marker and Robin spluttered, turning red, while Cyborg snickered. Raven had lifted her eyes from her book and Starfire had turned completely red with a surprised look on her face.
After a moment she composed herself, "It is-" Starfire began until an alarm rang throughout the tower.
"Titans Go!" Robin said, becoming serious as he heard the alarm and the Titans raced off to fight another villain, completely forgetting about Starfires turn.
The world she thought of was Earth.
