A/N: Chapter edited by my best friend: The-rainbow-goddess. Lots of thanks.

Sasuke never thought that he would live to see the day Sakura Haruno could show so many emotions in a single facial expression. She was usually emotional but nothing like this. Her face showed anger, betrayal, sorrow; he honestly felt like he could see her heart breaking to pieces. The tears staining her red flushed face and the ferocious spark in her eyes weren't helping at all. She was usually smiling and kind; to see her so full of venom was weird, surprising, quite shocking.

He cheated on her, it wasn't a secret. At least for those around him, his wife was, with no doubt, on another level when it came to realizing things around her. A little too oblivious to what was happening around her, maybe that's why she was an artist, a painter, they usually have their heads in the clouds

He had been cheating for the last 6 months. If someone asked, they would think that his cherry blossom was a little stupid for not realizing anything when it came to where exactly she stood in his life.

He was sure of her intelligence and blind love though. He didn't really care if she found out, she wasn't one to hold grudges. But he never wanted her to find out this way, he never thought that she would walk right on them having the time of their lives in his office.

He was sure she was working; even as "self employed", she had a strict program, she never skipped what she planned and was easily angered if something didn't go the good way.

He never expected her to skip work to visit him and walk on him and his secretary fucking in his office. He was simply seduced by the blonde. His secretary was amazingly hot, she was on another level than Sakura was, her clothing somehow classy somehow slutty, she never wore jeans like Sakura did, she was always in a short black mini skirt, she was mysterious; that's probably why he was attracted to her. The exact opposite of Sakura, who wore her heart on her sleeve.

When Sakura entered on them, she made a scene, a huge one. She screamed at him until all of his colleagues appeared and then cursed him. Somehow the scene went on 'til the hall. His boss was there and Sasuke didn't want to be fired … so he blew her off than told her they were going to finish it when he came from work and simply kicked her out without a care. Her hurt look and glassy eyes glued in his mind. His boss looked confused, but ignored the scene nonetheless and told him to get back to work. However, Sasuke heard him muttering under his breath "That is not how you should treat your wife

He was sure that when he would get home, Sakura would be there cooking for him in her pink, too big t-shirt, full of paint she loved so much. She would smile and ignore what happened just how she usually did. He would whisper small nothings to her and she would believe him again, putting her trust in him and letting him free again. He would just go back to his guilty pleasure, the blonde secretary and everything would be normal again. Everything would be how it has been for the last 15 years

When he arrived home, the first thing he observed was that the food smell wasn't there. She wasn't cooking. He felt a little tinge of panic but shrugged it off. Her cooking was always excellent, sometimes he wondered why she didn't beome a chef.

His blonde secretary was not good when it came to making food . She tried to cook him lunch once, he almost died. He could swear she confused salt with poison. He found it rather normal since she didn't even eat that much, constantly being on diets. Sakura always ate well and she was … how you could call it … soft. She was kind of fluffy. She wasn't fat, neither skinny, she was perfect.

The second thing he observed was the lack of her stuff, clothes and books. Oh, how she loved books. He was in a complete frenzy now. He called out for her, but the only thing he found was a note – no, a letter. Her words written in a beautiful calligraphic handwriting marked the front of the letter.

It clearly stated

'Fuck you for cheating on me. Fuck you for reducing it to the word cheating. As if this were a card game, and you sneaked a look at my hand. Who came up with the term anyway? A cheater, I imagine. Someone who thought liar was too harsh. Someone who thought devastator was too emotional. The same person who thought, oops, he'd been gotten caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Fuck you. This isn't about slipping yourself an extra twenty dollars of Monopoly money. These are our lives. You went and broke our lives. You are so much worse than a cheater. You killed something. And you killed it when its back was turned

David Levithan, The Lover's Dictionary

Let me tell you something: cheating and lying aren't struggles, they're reasons to break up.

Patti Callahan Henry, Between The Tides

So don't you dare come at me with bullshit about "moving on and living our lives the same.

What irritated me the most in that entire situation was the fact that I wasn't feeling humiliated, or annoyed, or even fooled. Betrayal was what I felt, my heart broken not just by a guy I was in love with, but also by, as I once believed, a true friend, a true lover.

Danka V., The Unchosen Life

Earthquakes just happen. Tornadoes just happen. Your tongue does not just happen to fall into some other girl's mouth

The same with your dick! You think I'll just ignore it like I do with the other things? My dear Sasuke, you have lost your turn! I'm done. You played with me too much, too long. Did you even know how I felt when I found you with that chick? At first it was shock, then I just … I just felt a great amount of pain . A pain I wouldn't want anyone to feel . Not even you , you cheating lying motherfucker

I thought we had a good relationship, I really did. Why would someone cheat on a good relationship?

I remember one desolate Sunday night, when I was wondering: Is this how I´m going to spend the rest of my life? Married to someone who is perpetually distracted and somewhat wistful, as if a marvelous party is going on in the next room, which, but for me, he could be attending

Gemma Halliday, Deadly Cool

So I decided Sasuke. We are breaking up. My lawyer will send you the divorce acts. Have a good life. Mine is already better

He cringed while reading the quotes. Barely some sentences were hers. He was not worthy of her words. He did love her. Didn't she know that? All the little acts of love she did, he adored them. How she would stay cheerful even when he ignored what she was saying.

Still, if he thought about it, he saw the crack every time but ignored it. This was not a " he cheated let's leave him act "; everything was just too much and she broke down. A little whimper of lose entered his mind and he knew he did a mistake. The voice of his boss, loud and clear kept telling him: "This is not how you should treat your wife." He didn't treat his wife right and now he had just lost her.

Sakura knew she acted childish, but she didn't even want to take it back. He had it coming. It hurt, it really hurt, she felt like her heart was being killed. The ache in her chest was becoming unbearable.

But she was quite sure she would make it out alive, unharmed because this time she had to be as tough as steel and do it alone. It was okay, this made her stronger. Somehow this has changed her

After she ran out of his office in the pouring rain, she stood on a bench in a park alone and pulled herself together . She had to be strong and, after giving it a little thought, she pushed herself to go in the tattoo shop on the other side of the road.

The woman here looked at her, not an emotion on her face. After a little time of staring at each other with blank faces, she smiled and asked what tattoo and where she would want it.

She went home with a phoenix on her right wrist . Because a phoenix raised from the ashes and, as a tall and powerful bird, flew to the sky and back, becoming stronger and more majestic every time she revived. It was her way of showing to herself that she was being reborn. Somehow under that skin, muscles and bones, she became stronger, better and her heart went from paper to steel.
