"Cool. Cool. Cool, cool, cool." Abed said to the TV as he watched the Inspector Spacetime Christmas special for what must have been the thousandth time.

"Abed..." Annie interrupted after several minutes of pacing. "Aren't you going to class today?" Abed barely glanced up from the screen and simply let out a low groan in response. "I'm just saying, you've been watching TV all weekend, maybe you want to get out of the house?"

Abed turned and looked Annie over. "No thanks." He said and turned back to the screen.

Annie sighed. "Okay... we'll get your homework. Come on, Troy, don't want to be late."

Troy, who up until now had been sitting quietly in the chair to Abed's right, got up to leave. "Bye, buddy! I'll see you after class."

...

With his friends gone Abed was left to his own devices to watch all the episodes he wanted. He had divided his time equally between watching the episodes and running scenarios in the Dreamatorium. Of course, it would be difficult without his loyal constable Reggie, but nevertheless he must carry on. When the Inspector finally defeated the Blorgons in the Christmas special he got up and made his way to the Dreamatorium. To his surprise, there was already a man inside standing next to a police box, much like the Inspector's, but blue.

"Hello!" The strange man said eagerly upon seeing Abed walk in.

Abed assumed this was a scenario he had forgotten to play out from last time. "Hello." He said robotically.

"Have you by chance seen any statues. Stone, angels, prone to movement." The man described.

"No. Who are you?"

"Oh, my apologies, I'm the Doctor."

Abed raised his eyebrows. "Like the Inspector."

"Inspe... What?" The Doctor asked.

"Inspector. From Inspector Spacetime, longest running British television show. He fights Blorgons with his loyal constable Reggie." Abed explained.

"Right... that's a bit odd isn't it. But no, I just travel with friends."

"Friends?" Abed asked trying to get a look into the police box.

"Oh no, not this time. They..." He paused. "Well, they couldn't make it."

They were both silent for a moment and then the Doctor spoke up. "So, statues? Seen any lately?" Abed shook his head and the Doctor let out a low groan. "Well, keep your eyes peeled. Don't blink!"

"Why?" Abed asked.

The Doctor moved closer to Abed. "Because..." He stopped. "Just don't. Trust me."

Abed was skeptical but he nodded. "Okay."

"Okay... Strange man turns up, tells you not to blink at statues and you say okay. Why?"

"I consider myself to be a keen observer of the universe. Therefore my instincts are almost never wring." Abed explained.

"I see... What did you say your name was?"

"Didn't, but Abed."

"Pleasure. Say, you wouldn't be interested in helping me sort out the statues around here would you?"

Abed opened his mouth to speak, then stopped, then opened it again. "I was supposed to run scenarios till ten. The schedule would get pretty messed up if I don't." The looked disappointed. "But... Perhaps I can rearrange things."

The Doctor's face lit up. "Brilliant. We should find the source of the time energy I've been picking up, first."

"Right, I have to be back by nine tonight, the new Inspector Spacetime is airing."

"Right, well then... Allonsy!"
