Never Would I Ever

Annabeth has been kidnapped. The only clue to where she is is the video that was sent to Percy's phone, and that wasn't much help either... he's got to find her, before the Friday the 13th, whatever is gonna happen to her on that day, and to be honest, he doesn't want to know.

Annabeth

I was late again.

Dead late.

I was supposed to meet Percy at 6:00 for his last dinner here in New York, since he had to leave for the airport at 7:00 for his plane to Boston.

It was 6:50. Well, I might still catch him for a few minutes.

I trudged through puddles of rainwater while thinking of a shortcut to his building.

Stoner Alley.

That was it. That would be the fastest shortcut to his home. It was called Stoner Alley because it was where all the underage teens did drugs. It was also one of the most dangerous places to go through. I knew I had to take a risk, who knew when the next time I would see him after he leaves for Boston.

13 Avenue….27 Avenue (I'm sorry if this isn't how New York streets work, I've never been)….. Ah ha!

I turned to my right and walked as fast as I could down the narrow alley with crack covered barrels left and right, cigarette butts everywhere. I kept walking straight, doing all I could to not look into the shadows. Suddenly, a hand jerked my arm, and I spun around, to find myself looking at a 20 something year old man, with sandy colored hair.

"Well, where ya to, blondie?" He spat.

"I'm sorry, do I know you? I tried to remember if I've ever seen this person before.

"Nope, but ya'll love me soon, blondie!" He grabbed rope out of his pocket, and before I knew it, he had managed to tie my hands together behind my back. I screamed. He clamped his hand over my mouth, muffling my shouts. I squirmed in his arms as he dragged me towards a van parked right at the edge of the alley.

Oh gods.

He looked out onto the street from both sides, and opened the trunk of the van. He snatched a large sack and pulled it over the top of my head as my vision went dark. I struggled harder, hoping someone would see me. I felt myself being pushed into the trunk. I then heard the trunk door being slammed shut, then about a minute later, the van's engine roaring to life. I didn't bother making noise to attract attention. No one was going to find me anyway.

The last thing I thought about before I fell asleep was how Percy was ever going to find me.
