Mari pounded her fist against the wall. She knew that it took her a while to understand things, but why would it take so long to understand one simple thing? She was studying different traits of the team members of the Chase and the one thing that confused her the most, LOVE. She had been researching everywhere, yet she couldn't find out what love was. It all frustrated her.
A few papers drifted off her table. The first paper was entitled "What is Love?" while the other was titled, "Emotions for Sieghart". She rapidly noticed and picked them up. Then she continued to stare at them.
"Mari? Are you okay?" Sieghart's voice questioned as he opened the door. Mari, who was caught off guard, stared into Sieghart's eyes. "Those eyes...that immortal's eyes..Why is it that I feel something when I look at him?.." she thought. She dazed off into her little world of romance, which she didn't know was actually a little world of romance. Then she snapped out of it and answered Sieghart's question. "Yes...I'm okay.." she answered. Sieghart frowned.
"I know that something is bothering you. Now lemme see those papers.." he said, snatching the papers out of Mari's hand. Mari, who was shocked, blushed madly, knowing that she would be embarrassed by what Sieghart would read. Then Sieghart blushed.
"Emotions...for me? What is love? Mari...I can answer all that.." he said, bringing Mari closer to him. The inventor was taken my surprise. "What? Sieghart-" she was interrupted by the immortal placing a hand on her mouth.
"Mari...when you feel emotions for someone, happy and nervous emotions...that means that you love that person...and...and..." Sieghart couldn't conclude his sentence. Mari was interested. She knew what Sieghart wanted to say. "You love me, don't you?" she finished. Sieghart smiled. "So..will...you be my...girlfriend?" he questioned, knowing that he finally had a chance to ask Mari.
Mari was unsure. She wasn't that definite about what love was. Yet it sounded as if love was something that brought happiness. Sieghart made her happy and be full of romantic feelings. "Yes.." she replied, signalling that they could take their first kiss together.
"I love you..." Mari concluded, kissing the immortal even deeper as he continued to do the same.
