I knew I was going to die. I had betrayed John, and I knew he would come and kill me. He betrayed us first, though. Working for Reyes.
"Wonder what he promised him?", I said to myself, "Women? Money? Fame?"
I walked up to Allende's mansion.
"What is the plan?" I asked.
'Well, first go find one of Reyes's rebels. Kill them, and let John come. Try to kill him, will ya.'
"Um… Yes sir." I walked out, yelling orders to the Mexican Army is Spanish.
"Don't let John Marston leave their alive!" I bellowed after one of the soldier's that understood English. I sat down. This might be one of the last minutes of my life. At least I would die for Mexico.
'De Santa, move!' Allende yelled. I obeyed and walked towards my horse.
"Soldiers, move!" everyone moved aside for us to pass through.
"You got the rebel?"
'On the back of my horse, sir.'
I gave them a signal to head for Sepulcro.
"Go there." I indicated a grave marker where no one's name was on.
"Get him off the horse." they untied him.
'Where do I start digging?' the rebel asked.
"Right there, you fool!" ,I yelled, "Another word, and your dead!" He obeyed.
'Sir, horse's are approaching.' one of the soldier's said. Sure enough, the horse's head up the hill.
'Stop, don't shoot him, I need him alive.' I recognized John Marston's voice. I shot the rebel in the head.
'Stay there, De Santa.' My nerves caught up with me. And I did what any normal person would do, I ran. I remembered earlier where to tell John he was.
'De Santa! Get back here! No use in runnin''
"John, you betrayed us!" I felt a tight feeling on my ankles. His lasso, of course. I dropped to the ground. He tied me up tight.
"John, please. I implore you to let me go." I tried reasoning with him.
'I'm gonna show you the man I used to be!' he said to me threateningly.
He dropped me on the ground.
'Now tell me, where is Bill and Javier? If ya don't tell me…..'
I didn't reply.
'Tell me where they are!' he yelled. He put me on my knees and grabbed my shirt. He punched me hard in the face.
"No John." I said. He punched me harder, more forcefully. I felt blood pouring down my face.
'Still no answer?' he said. This time, I felt my nose break. More blood. I couldn't hold back tears any longer. I knew I was going to die. And I was scared.
"Casa- Casa Madruga!' I gasped.
"Please just kill me, or let me go, okay?" I knew he would kill me. I fell flat on my back. John spit on my arm.
'Do you want to kill him? Or shall we?' He raised up a hand.
"I'll do the honors." He raised up the gun. I closed my eyes, not wanting to see the bullet that would kill me. I heard a gun shot, then spiraled into darkness.
