The Beldam, a fearsome creature that stocks children in order to steal their life force. Not many know of its existence. Those that do normally don't live long enough to inform too many people. And few listen/believe them anyway.

Alice Liddell. The little girl that asked Charles (Pen Name: Lewis Carroll) to write down the tale of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland for her and her sisters. Started out human in the 1800s.

Liddell and Charles were good friends that didn't mind their age difference. Her parents on the other hand, did more and more as their little girl approached marrying age.

And so one day her parents told Charles, in a long winded not as harshly worded way, to leave and never speak to their children again.

Slowly Liddell began to lose her sanity. Her parents brushed it off as imagination and her clinging to childhood. They did not notice their daughter practicing magic. Well…what sane parent would?

The police report? What would have been her thirteenth birth day, the Liddell family was slaughtered by an unknown force. And Alice Liddell's body was never found. The lone surviving feline, a black kitten no more than a year old, went missing shortly afterwards.

What we have uncovered?

Before Charles was dismissed. The family cat Dinah was raped by Cat Seth. Not a Star Wars super villain. A nasty fay creature that enjoys killing, as much as any other cat but with more thinking capability. Charles was having a drink with Mr. Liddell when he saw Cat Seth roaming across the lawn. Thankfully for Charles, all Cat Seth decided to do was disappear. Some may mistakenly say like the Cheshire cat. It's vice versa people.

That night, Liddell murdered her entire family. She had the Magic Circle prepared. She only needed the sacrificial blood. The spell required one, and only one. Not heading this, Liddell started with the ones that caused her heartache in the first place. As the blood was draining from her parents decapitated bodies into a bowl of fine china, Liddell moved on to her sisters.

Dinah betrayed her that night, her white kitten joining. Slashing and clawing at the mad child managed to buy the eldest sister time to scream. But nothing else. Both sisters heads wear slashed to ribbons. Their blood added to the bowl.

The black kitten managed to get to the police station with the words 'Liddell household' written on it. But by then it was too late.

The creature rose from the circle. A spider-based monster with a torso, arms and hands made from needles, cloth that acted as skin, and for eyes….two old black buttons.

Thus the Nightmare began.
