On the coast of the bustling city sit hundreds of rocks. Some more jagged and bigger than others but their appearance doesn't matter. She only cares about one rock in particular. Unnaturally flat and perfect for sitting, the placement is just what she's longing for even if there are a few possible dangerous jumps she must make to reach it. She notices that there are others easier to get to but knows that this is the only one that will give her that feeling. That feeling only the water has been able to fill her with since Tegan left.

She's come to this exact spot every day for almost two weeks now. She doesn't know where she is, and doesn't particularly care either. The only thing that matters is what brought her here and what she will leave with.

She's been sitting for hours now staring out onto the waves, blocking out any sound that isn't the water pounding against any obstacle it meets. She wonders what it would be like to become one of those obstacles.

To drift out to sea, only to sink and become one with the seabed.

And suddenly, it dawns on her that she doesn't need to wonder. She can find out what it's like, right here, right now. As she stands and makes her way further out onto the rocks it doesn't register to her that this is suicide. This isn't giving up, this is giving in.

She finds herself at the edge of the last rock, staring down at the water try to fight its way onto the rock to grab at her feet to pull her under. She laughs quietly at the ignorance of the water, not knowing the devotion that lives within her.

And as she lowers herself into the water, the feeling of peace immediately washes over her. For a moment, a wave of panic rushes over her as she realizes the heaviness of her decision. The feeling passes as the arms of the ocean carry her under the surface. So cold, and so sweet.

She closes her eyes for the last time, completely enveloped of the feelings around her, and fills her mind with images of Tegan. Of their last day together. The tears. The leaden chuckles. The hands touching. The lips meeting.

Bliss. "Tegan..."

And before everything is gone, she attempts one last sentence.

"Never let me go..."
