Author's note: I always always put off by how much the other party members don't care about you. Yet, Elazul does. He constantly tells the main character that he or she shouldn't be involved with the Jumi. In other words, he does display some concern for the main character. This is the main character's thoughts on a growing affection for Elazul. Set after the Lucky Cover and Cosmos events. Make the main character whichever gender you want. No set gender in mind for this.
For the longest time, I've noticed you. The gentleness in your eyes whenever you looked to Pearl. The concern in your voice whenever a powerful monster was able to attack me. The strength that you displayed so proudly in battle with your shining blade in hand. The brief moment of sadness in your eyes when you saw me so broken after Esmeralda's core had been stolen. I remember the gentle touch of your hand on my shoulder as I mourned her. I was her knight, and yet I had failed to protect her. It was like losing you.
The jewel hunter had always haunted me the moment I watched her murder one of your own. Her greedy hands slipping onto Rubens' chest and pulling roughly on the ruby core he had. That haunting sound as she held up the stolen core from the young man. It was like removing his heart from his body. I hated her so much for murdering one of your own. I hated her even more when the nightmares started. The nightmares of you covered in your own blood and your beautiful core stolen from your chest. I loathed her the moment I saw her scratch your core in the caves. It was as if the nightmares came true.
Even though I don't want to admit it, I am jealous of Pearl. I hate every time she whispers your name. I hate the way she always follows after you. The way she always smiles at you. The gentle affection you displayed to her whenever you thought I wasn't paying attention. Yet, she abandoned you. She changed into a different lady. A different Pearl. So...she left you alone. She left you when you could barely move. When your precious core had just been scratched.
I took you home. You're laying in my bed. Bud and Lisa are worried about me. I haven't slept. I haven't eaten at all. All I do is watch over you. I'm holding your hand, and I'm trying to help you through the pain. Can you feel the tears I'm crying? I'm so afraid of losing you now.
