How about that? I win.

--The Master, Last of the Time Lords.

He won.

He won because you had to hold him, dieing in your arms.

He won because you watched him die and not regenerate, watch his life flicker and fade and know you couldn't do a thing about it.

Your entire lives you've been playing a game, an ongoing game throughout the cosmos.

You've always thought he's been playing to loose, weaving traps and fighting wars, constantly taunting you with death, but he'd always provide a way out, a way for him to win.

He won because you outlived him.

He won because he never had to live without you.

Not quite my usual style, but hey, good for a change. You'll never guess what brought this on, a Winnie the Pooh quote: "If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day so I never have to live without you." Let it never be said that Winnie the Pooh is not deep! Please review, I'm a little uncertain about this one!
