"Percy what's the problem? You haven't talked since breakfast, is everything ok?" Annabeth confronted her oddly quiet husband. "Percy?"
"Huh?" Percy replied, looking confused, as if Annabeth just snapped him out of his thoughts. Annabeth repeated her question, with more concern.
"Oh, not…nothing. It was just a dream." He added at the slight of the expression Annabeth made.
"Come on, Percy you can tell me anything, I am your wife."
With a sigh, Percy said, "Do you remember Luke? Your ex?"
"Is this what it's all about? Percy you know I'm over him a long time ago."
"I… I know, it's just… yesterday, I dreamt about what he said before."
"Why would Annabeth ever want to date you? When she can have me? You're a dumb, scrawny, hopeless little kid that needs some love, that's all. It's surprising really, that she is willing to stay around so long. Probably because she felt very sorry for your lost."
"Percy, you know what he ever said was just to get to you, none of what he said was true. And I've-"
"But no matter how many times I try to tell myself that you stayed around because you actually liked me, Luke's voice just keep telling that it was just sympathy. You are beautiful, smart, everything that makes you prefect. You could have gotten any man you wanted yet you chose me, dumb, idiotic me." Annabeth couldn't believe it, her husband, right there, is saying that he don't deserve her because of how great she was, while forgetting how great he was.
He was the sweetest, cutest, most handsome man she has ever met. And looking back, she could not believe that she actually once fell for the jerk, Luke. Percy might be a seaweed brain, but he is her seaweed brain. He is prefect for her and he needs to know that. Therefore, she leaned in for a kiss, with tears threating to fall.
"Don't say that, because you are prefect for me, and it is I that don't deserve you."
