Little Red
The previous case had been hell. It should never have been passed to UCOS, after all it was a current case. The summer of 2014 had been one of numerous riots and plenty of murders, meaning every department was up to the ears in work. So when Dominic Hill was found stabbed to death in his apartment, the case was passed to UCOS.
When they'd gotten the case it had looked like a simple open/shut case, luck would be a fine thing though. They'd helped out on current murders before but this was their first on their own as a team. The case had more twists and turns than a Rubix cube but eventually they'd solved it. The outcome was one that no one had expected, but then that's usually how things worked out.
In UCOS they'd dealt with people who killed children all the time, but only once before had they dealt with a child who had killed someone else, and that had been another child who was dead. Although this case was one of a child who killed, Dominic was not a child, and the motive seemed non-existent. That was until the child opened up a little.
Perhaps you might want a little more background knowledge before you hear the story, after all you'll need as much preparation as you can. Dominic Hill was in his early 50s and was divorced. It was not known what he did for work but he always had a brand new car on the driveway and a flash suit on. Maybe know you're thinking that he sounds a little dodgy? Well if you are, then you'd be right, but I'm sure that the real reason why won't have even crossed your mind.
