For You
AN: So I would just like to apologise for my disappearing act in the whole St Berry fanfic writings and the writing thing end of. I really hope you like this. It is actually inspired by a St Berry fan art on Tumblr. Short drabble into the delicious psyche of Jesse St James. Reviews are gold! ;)
I left Vocal Adrenaline. For you.
He stands erect watching her face light up in that magical way it does, making his insides warm up and every part of him tingle. There's this glint in his eyes as he looks right at her in their quaint school choir room. He's lost the plot. Maybe he's crazy. He doesn't care. He has to have her. He'll do whatever it takes to imprison her heart like she has captured his. Everyone eyes him suspiciously, calls him a spy, the idiot that makes his boil looks enraged glaring at him and goes on narcissistically about how this is hurting his feelings. He resists the urge to rolls his eyes back and dart fire at him. The famous ex that broke Rachel Berry's heart, he summons. Jesse St James has always beaten competition. After all he likes the challenge. He smirks inwardly, breathing in. This is going to a hell of a ride. He smiles that charming smile at his girlfriend; he almost feels the shine and the clink of it from its cheesy allure. He couldn't care less if he is falling for her; Jesse St James is as suave and smooth as ever. McKinley get ready for such drama.
I should have been enough for you.
He's furious, livid, outraged. How could she do this to him? How could she humiliate him in such a morbid fashion? He thought she has class, innocence even, above he thought he could trust her. But no, this is unacceptable. Jesse St James waits for no one. He does not settle for second best. Jesse St James is first class and first choice, always. He storms out the door, her eyes burning into his tense back as he disappears from the halls of the stupid insipid school. He can't believe he did this. He fell for the mission. He actually fell for her. In fact he's pretty sure he was a fool enough to actually start loving her. She does not deserve him, he decides, gritting his teeth as he revs his car for the highway. He has to get out of here.
I came back for you.
He can't get her out of his head as he stares blank at the lecture screen. This is a nightmare. Maybe it's karma or punishment for his own cruelty and deception. He is no innocent prey in the downfall of their epic romance, even if he does say so himself. It's over. She's forgotten him for the quintessential mimbo. He gets up abruptly. He has to go back, to see her face, to wipe that broken look, to hold her, to hear her voice. Anything. He'll do anything to get her back. He sneaks into the school, lax security giving the opportunistic in him a thrill and her voice is as clear as bells, crystals and beautiful as diamond cut succinct. It is undeniable Jesse St James loves Rachel Berry with every fibre of his being.
