My Home

Jace Lightwood was sitting in the greenhouse, looking around at the beautiful plants. He remembered the time he brought Clary here for her birthday. He remembered the day as clear as if were yesterday. That was the night he'd first kissed her. Jace smiled in the memory, letting himself get lost in thoughts of Clary, the only girl he ever truly loved.

She was beautiful with her curly, red hair and emerald eyes. Jace could never grasp how she didn't see it. Her voice was like music to him. Her calm soprano always helped him through whatever storm he was in. Her eyes never failed to see through his pretenses and he loved it. It was amazing to finally find someone who could see through the facade he always hidden himself behind.

Clary's touch was unlike anything he'd ever experienced. It sent shockwaves through his nerves that made his heart start racing, and breathing more difficult. Her kiss made him dizzy and drunk with desire. He never knew he could care and feel so much for someone.

Their relationship, no matter how wonderful, had been the farthest thing from easy. Both of them had cried themselves to sleep more than once. Both of them had yelled and screamed at one another, then suffered the guilt and sadness afterwards. Both had broken the other's heart on different occasions.

But whatever complication or misscommunication that arose, it never sucesseded in tearing them apart. They had held on to each other through the good, the bad, and the ugly. For this reason, Jace believed in their love more than anything else. It was the only thing he held to be absolute truth and it never let him down.

Jace heard Isabelle calling for him, breaking him out of his reverie. He sighed, and got up. Heading downstairs to his adopted sister, his thoughts, as usual, wandered back to Clary.

She was everything to him. She was the one who kept him believeing when he thought there was no hope left. The one who he sought for shelter and comfort when everything seemed to be coming apart at the seems. She was the only one who gave him a sense of belonging. She was his home.

I've done a few things, I wasn't proud of,

Might of said a few things that hurt you,

But you're still the only one, who fills me up,

And all tears that we've shared, were worth it.

You are my home, you are my everything, when I feel so alone.

You are my home, you are my shelter, when all my hope is gone.

You are my home, you are my everything, when I feel so alone,

You are my heart, you are the one, when it all comes undone...
