Darkness and Light

The two live in sync

Without one or the other

Our world is on the brink.

Darkness is cold

And un-feeling with black

It's not at all compassionate

And love is what it will lack.

Light is warm

And tingly with hope

It rushes it to fight the dark

And help what's left to cope.

But without the darkness

What will light do?

It would take over

And give the world a boring hue

But without the light

The world would be filled with hate

Darkness would be everywhere

And salvation would be too late

So this is why we need both

To live side by side

The struggle is always going to be tough

But without it, we'd all have died.
