Father and Daughter Bonds

Chapter 1: The beginning and Winry's Departure
It had been about 4 since Ed and Al (their bodies newly restored) had returned to Resembool. A few years later, Ed and Winry got married. And then, three years later, Winry became pregnant with a baby girl. They were both very excited when they were told this news. When she was born, the new parents named their newborn daughter Elena. The day she was born was one of the happiest days of their lives.
4 years later (present day)
Edward and Elena were helping Winry pack her bags for a five week trip to Rush Valley. Elena, (who is only four years old) was sad when she had been told this news. "Don't worry, Elena", said Winry comfortingly. "It's only for a few weeks, and your daddy is still going to be here with you while I'm gone."
A few days later
Ed and Elena went with Winry to the train station so that they could see her off. Winry hugged and kissed them both, said "goodbye", and then she boarded the train. A few minutes later, the train disappeared from sight as it headed down the track.
