She doesn't know how she ended up in the past, but as she holds Eileen she doesn't really care. The future has nothing to offer anymore, but the past offers her a chance of love.
It also offers Eileen and her young son a chance of love and safety too.
Maybe being there when belongs somewhere else was wrong or maybe fate wanted to another chance to love someone. Hermione wasn't sure which was right nor did she care.
Because being with Eileen made everything right in the world and she was the happiest she had ever been.
