This was one of the weirdest dates for Ken. Not that he had ever been on a date before but he was pretty sure this was not a 'normal' date for someone to have. Nathaniel on the other hand was perfectly fine with it. He had asked plenty of people to go on this kind of date with him but most of them scowled at him or said he was crazy.

There they were. In the dark. On the street. With a light up leash. Walking a cat.

It was not Nathaniel's cat nor was it Ken's. It was Ms. Mitt's, Nathaniel's neighbor's, cat. The cat's name was Lila. She was a beautiful brown tabby with flashing green eyes and a bright green collar. Due to an agreement with Ms. Mitt, Nathaniel took Lila out on a walk every night.

Ken squeezed Nathaniel's hand lightly which he had been holding the entire walk. The blonde boy turned his head to look at his date.

"Yes?"

"Can I give Lila a cookie?"

"Cookies are bad for cats."

"These are cat cookies though."

Nathaniel stopped walking so he could stare at Ken. The brunette was shoving a said cat cookie in his mouth.

"You mean to tell me that this whole time you've been eating cookies made for cats?"

"Yes."

"Not to be rude but that's disgusting."

Ken shook his head.

"No! They taste like regular cookies made for humans! Seriously! You should try one."

Ken offered a small grey cookie to Nathaniel. The other boy took it and shutting his eyes, put it in his mouth.

"Well?"

"They...they actually do taste like regular cookies."

Ken smiled widely.

"I told you. So can I give a cookie to Lila?"

"Fine."

"Yay! Now she'll love me and stop scratching me when I come close to her."

Ken leaned down to give the cat a cookie.

"Oww! She bit me!"

Sigh.
